CAMELLIA

CAMELLIA documents the creation of a new public artwork by James Capper for Rotherham town centre, inspired by the rare camellias grown at Wentworth Woodhouse. The film traces the development of the sculpture from early concept to fabrication, observing how material, engineering and place converge in Cappers work.

Alongside the making process, the film includes portraits and conversations with those involved from the apprentices at MTL who helped construct the piece to the voices connected to the town. Through these encounters, the film reflects the character of Rotherham itself: its history, its industry, and the craftsmanship that continues to shape it.

Kendall Street

Kendall Street offers a quiet study of a newly reimagined family home by Shone Sanders Studio. The film moves through light, texture, and proportion, revealing the clarity and warmth underpinning the studio’s approach to contemporary interior design.

To evoke a sense of lived experience, we paired observational camerawork with layered sound design and the subtle presence of a model - suggesting the rhythms of daily life and how the spaces might feel when inhabited.
