Portland Stone

Portland Stone is 150 million years old at its base-bed and is regarded as the finest limestone in the United Kingdom. We documented its mining and fabrication as this ancient material was honed to adorn a new architectural scheme: 25 Baker Street.

We were captivated by the connection between natures raw beauty and human craftsmanship. We wanted not only to document the journey of the limestone but also to showcase the craftsmen who fabricate the stone and the utterly unique location of the Isle of Portland.

Persistence Is Fruitful

A collaboration between two masters of their craft - Michelin-starred chef Kirk Haworth and artist Anthony Burrill - exploring flavour and form through four original prints. We captured the process in two short films for Plates, crafted for social and web.
